Drake Reignites Feud with Pusha T & Takes Aim at Pharrell in Travis Scott's "Meltdown"

In a surprising turn of events, Drake has resurfaced in the rap battle arena with a fiery guest verse on Travis Scott's track "Meltdown" from the album Utopia. The 6 God, known for his quick wit and lyrical prowess, didn't hold back as he took shots at both Pusha T and Pharrell Williams, reigniting long-standing beef and introducing new elements to the feud.

Drake's latest collaboration with Travis Scott, "Meltdown," showcases his unapologetic approach. The track, produced by Coleman, BNYX, Boi-1da, Vinylz, and Tay Keith, sees the rapper throwing shade at both Pusha T and Pharrell Williams.

With the line, "I melt down the chains that I bought from yo boss/ Give a fuck about all of that heritage s**/ Since V not around, the members done hung up the Louis/ They not even wearing that s**," Drake takes a direct hit at Pharrell's Joopiter auction. In the music video for "Jumbotron Shit Poppin," Drake can even be seen flaunting custom chains from Pharrell's collection.

Taking the feud a step further, Drake also seems to dismiss Pharrell's new role as Louis Vuitton's Men's Creative Director, a position previously held by the late Virgil Abloh. The line "Since V not around, the members done hung up the Louis, they not even wearing that s***" implies Drake's indifference towards Pharrell's elevated status.

Adding fuel to the fire, Drake references a past lawsuit involving him and 21 Savage over a parody Vogue cover they used to promote their album "Her Loss." Drake quips, "You lucky that 'Vogue' was suing/ 'Cause I would've been with the Wassas in Paris and s***." This veiled reference takes aim at both Pharrell, whose debut Louis Vuitton show happened in Paris, and Pusha T, who was present for the event.

The feud between Drake and Pusha T dates back to 2018 when Pusha T's "Infrared" sparked Drake's response with "Duppy Freestyle." However, the most infamous moment in the beef was Pusha T's retaliation with "The Story of Adidon," where he exposed the existence of Drake's son, Adonis. While Drake has addressed the beef in interviews, "Meltdown" marks the first time he has taken aim at Pharrell Williams, escalating the tension further.
